The National Active and Retired Federal Employees of New York (NARFE-NY) and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) have joined forces and will be conducting at least two (2) focus groups for current and future federal retirees in the Central NY region.  These sessions will be an integral part of our organization's Convention and Expo, which will take place at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center, on Wednesday, May 12, 2010.  You can learn more about us and our convention & expo on our main homepage.

The Chief of OPM's Retirement Customer Service Group, and some of her staff, will also be on hand to answer questions about your account if necessary.  They will also be able to help you with updating your e-mail address, change your tax withholding, change your online PIN number, help with establishing an allotment, change your mailing address, sign up for direct deposit, and a whole lot more!

Our goal is a simple one, we want to meet you and listen to what you have to say about how you think we can better serve you and your family.  Seating for the Focus Group is limited, therefore, we strongly urge you to apply for one of the Focus Groups sooner rather than later!  These sessions are FREE, and we'll "validate" parking for those who park in the hotel's attached garage.  The information we request below will only be used so that we can adequately prepare for the two sessions we are offering.

If you are a federal or postal retiree living in the Central NY area, you are invited to apply online today for a seat at one of our 2 Focus Group sessions!  By the way, you DO NOT have to be a member of NARFE to participate in a Focus Group nor to attend the Expo -- however, you can join us if you wish!

The Focus Groups are open to all federal/postal employees/retirees or spouses thereof, who wish to participate. SEATING IS LIMITED! We encourage you to apply sooner rather than later. Completion of this form DOES NOT guarantee you a seat at either of our two sessions. You will be notified separately by email if you are selected to participate. You should expect to receive confirmation of your attendance approximately 3 weeks prior to May 12, 2010. You are under no obligation and there are no registration fees involved. Finally, you DO NOT have to be a member of NARFE to apply; however, you must receiving or be eligible to receive a retirement annuity from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
